We have an opportunity for a self-motivated Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join the team, located in Townsville. You will support overseeing the operational implementation of our Estate Upkeep maintenance services.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the service delivery of tradespeople and subcontractors across the base services area sites as well as the preparation and scheduling of performance based and responsive maintenance works. You will support with the delivery of facilities maintenance services to Defence properties.
About you
You are a self-motivated and high performing individual with previous experience in a leadership role, ideally within the commercial building industry or industrial maintenance sector. You will also have the following skills & experience:
- Ability to lead, support and mentor teams
- Trade qualifications in an Electrical, Fire Technician (preferrable)
- Experience and proven ability in the provision of advice to management, clients, tradespeople and subcontractors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of statutory obligations, Codes of practice and Building Code of Australia
- Highly competent in the use of Maintenance Management systems (WMS, SAP advantageous) and Microsoft Office applications
- Australian Driver's licence & Australian Citizenship (essential)
