Job description

Evaluation & Monitoring Officer

  • $116,223.00 per annum + superannuation
  • Full Time, ongoing position
  • Geelong location (Hybrid working model - 3 days in the office)

Purpose

The position currently sits within the WorkWell portfolio responding to support WorkSafe to deliver health and safety strategies to promote health and wellbeing and reduce harm across the Victorian Workplaces, including the WorkSafe WorkWell program.

WorkSafe's WorkWell Program is a large scale, multi-pronged initiative designed to help Victorian employers prevent mental injuries and promote mental health and wellbeing at work by providing access to tools and resources, funding and networking opportunities.

WorkWell's Monitoring and Evaluation team is the key point of contact for all monitoring and evaluation activities related to the WorkWell program. Reporting to the Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer supports the implementation and reporting of insights aligned with WorkWell's Evaluation Plan and Program Logic.

Key accountabilities

  • Work independently and assist with the implementation of the evaluation and monitoring of the work undertaken within the portfolio.
  • Provide specialist advice to the team and stakeholders to ensure alignment to the overarching outcomes of the program.
  • Manage and conduct field work and the data collection of all key evaluation activities. Work with statistical methods and techniques as well as qualitative analysis techniques, to appropriately analyse and interpret both qualitative and quantitative datasets.
  • Synthesis findings and propose recommendations to achieve the outcomes required to successfully implement and evaluate the program.
  • Develop comprehensive key performance and descriptive reports in line with the program work plan that are meaningful and relevant to the program and its stakeholders.
  • Accountable for creating and capturing accurate and complete records of the business activities related to this position, in accordance with approved policy and procedures. This is applicable to both hardcopy and electronic information, including email.

About you

You are an individual who is passionate about making a difference in workplace health & safety.

You hold strong experience in monitoring and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative), with the ability to lead evaluation activities within large scale programs and proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.

  • You will have strong attention to detail as well as problem solving, research and analytical skills.
  • You will have skills to translate insights, evidence and measures into reports and presentations for a wide variety of audiences.
  • You will have experience in delivering complex behaviour change programs at a population level.
  • Your communication and organisational skills are exemplary.
  • You are a team-oriented person who enjoys delivering an impact.
  • You will contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Sciences, Health Science, Health Promotion, or related field.
