WHO WE ARE:Gippsland PHN is a not for profit charity that works at a regional level to achieve improved whole of system health care. Our vision is for a Measurably Healthier Gippsland.
We work closely with the primary health care system, identifying opportunities to improve health outcomes in Gippsland communities. We do this through health system improvement programs, and by commissioning services to address local health needs via our regional commissioning role.
We aim to:
- ensure health issues are prioritised, understood and invested in; using local strengths;
- build and support local capability in primary health care professionals;
- enable transparent communication and information exchange across the primary health care sector; and
- improve access in primary health services particularly for those at risk of poor health outcomes, and where gaps exist in hard to reach locations.
Research and Evaluation Officer
Do you have excellent administration skills with a passion for Research and Evaluation?
We currently have a part time (0.8FTE) career opportunity available as a Research and Evaluation Officer. This role supports the achievement of Gippsland PHN objectives in demonstrating impact through Research and Evaluation activities. The role is responsible for administering Research and Evaluation activities, including administration support for research requests, administration of the Data Information Assets Register, support for Privacy Impact Assessment and data governance processes and activities, and support for internal and external evaluation activities.
We are looking for an astute, agile, dynamic, outcomes focused team member. Use your skills to complete work packages including but not limited to:
- Participate and support in the Data Governance, Ethics and Research Group activities that may include handling any privacy complaints or questions from stakeholders as they arise under the Gippsland privacy policy; coordinating and actioning any reasonable stakeholder requests for personal information;
- Manage documents, systems and processes related to research, evaluation and data governance activities;
- Support internal teams to build evaluation capacity within the organisation, embedding research practice and Evaluation methods and approaches into programs and activities;
- Contribute to the development of dissemination material, such as position papers, manuscripts for peer review and other primary health Research and Evaluation communication material;
- Support quantitative and qualitative analysis for internal and external project development, commissioning and Evaluation purposes;
- Support activities that ensure compliance to legislation, regulations and policies concerned with health services and client data collection, human research ethics, consent and privacy provisions;
- Administer the Data Information Assets Register;
- Support completion of Privacy Impact Assessments by application owners; and
- Provide considered comment and feedback on the suitability and relevance of proposed Research and Evaluation projects and initiatives.
