Form of workSt Philip’s Christian College Gosford is a rapidly growing learning community, striving to provide quality education in a caring and secure learning environment based on Christian beliefs, values and practice. We are currently seeking appropriately qualified applicants to fill a full-time position in the Even Start class which is based within our Junior School. The Stage OneEven Start Class caters for a small group of students with learning needs, who hope to enter the mainstream environment fulltime by Year Three.
The successful candidate would ideally have the following experience:
- Appropriate tertiary teaching qualifications, with additional qualifications and/or experience in working with students with diverse needs
- An understanding of the value of Christian Education
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-teaching setting to achieve goals
- Ability to adjust and differentiate to cater for individual needs
- Knowledge and understanding of all NSW syllabus documents
