When it comes to putting on a show for our customers, you don't get much better than the team at The Star Gold Coast! Our busy Events Department accommodates a range of conventions, exhibitions, functions Galas, weddings, and special events.
The role as an Event Planner will see you as the primary contact point for event clients and conduit between the client and property for successful event execution, coordination, and overall management of events at The Star Gold Coast. This role will be a 12-month contracted position.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Work closely with the MICE Sales and Event Operations team to retain The Star Entertainment Group clients
- Cross check client files on handover from the MICE Sales team to support prior communication between the client and the Sales team
- Work alongside with Workplace Health and Safety teams to ensure all events are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, including the development of risk assessment documents, liaising with suppliers for Safe Work Method Statements and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate internally with Hotel and Property teams to obtain approvals for the use of shared spaces and any unique requests from clients
- Work closely with the Event Operations team to ensure events are delivering a high profitability outcome.
- Creation of surprise and delight opportunities for clients and event guests to increase guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Management of property access for all event clients and external suppliers and management of freight for events via the MobileDock system.
- Maintain healthy relationships with industry suppliers
- Coordination of all event signage requirements - within function space, Events Centre, and more expansive property
