Reports To: Head of Activations
Supporting the Head of Activations, you’ll be responsible for producing all of Better Beer’s sponsored events and activations in Australia. Your role covers major events and on premise activations.
The entire Better Beer marketing team works remotely, so you will need to be self-motivated, happy to work autonomously and comfortable working from home. Due to the high number of QLD based events we sponsor each year, ideally you’re based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast otherwise Sydney & Melbourne applicants are also favoured.
Better Beer is proud to sponsor some incredible events, so you’ll be responsible for producing high quality experiences for over two million attendees each year. No pressure. Some of these events include MeatStock, Lost Paradise, Wildlands and Beyond The Valley, to name a few.
In addition to major events, you’ll work closely with the Head of Activations and in-house design team to produce activations and takeovers in pubs across Australia..
Please note - some weekend, public holiday, evening and interstate travel will be required. This role is perfect for someone wanting to get their frequent flyers points up and meet amazing people along the way.
What the ideal candidate looks like
- A solid background in event management & production (min. 3 years events experience)
- Experience in the liquor industry - brownie points for working in beer
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers, tradesmen & contractors
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
- Holds a valid drivers’ licence
- Highly organised, self motivated and has an attention to detail
- Has a clear understanding of measuring ROIs and ability to produce insightful post event reports
- Has solid budget management skills
- Well presented and a confident communicator
- Not afraid to roll their sleeves up
Roles & Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Budget management for events and reporting P&Ls post events
- Activation agency management
- Ordering stock and merchandise for all events
- Working closely with the Brand Ambassadors for supporting some activations
- Competitor analysis - who’s doing what and how can we make our activations even better each year, to drive more trial and brand loyalty
