The precinct consists of several sporting facilities, including a variety of indoor and outdoor function and entertainment areas that host some of Brisbane's biggest annual events.
About the role
As Event Sales Coordinator, you will assist the Event Sales department in it's day to day activities, specifically corodinating the club's major event sale processes as well as assisting with the coordination of the events and functions themselves. Reporting to the Commercial manager, you will oversee all aspects of ticketed functions and events, project management, event logistics and provide administrative support. You will also work closely with the ticketing officer to handle ticketing requests as required for the sales department.
A summary of your key responsibilities:
- Providing assistance and support to the Sales & Events team to ensure accurate communication with their clients and internal teams;
- Coordinate sales of ticketed functions using the ticketing system and coordinating information with relevant stakeholders;
- Oversee all aspects of ticketed functions including; booking sheets, reporting, phone bookings, updating bookings when required and troubleshooting online booking enquiries;
- Follow up on leads, perform sales calls and respond to enquires via email and phone in a timely manner;
- Supporting the Sales & Events team in creating and generating event orders for ticketed functions and private clients where required; and
- Assist in the delivery of ticketed functions and events, being on the ground when required, providing outstanding customer service and liaison with customers, suppliers, staff etc.
About u
- You will be located in Brisbane and be able to perform the role from the head office, located in Brisbane's northern suburbs;
- You will possess a relevant qualification in events, business, marketing, project management, administration etc;
- You will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role within functions and conferences in the hospitality/hotel/sports/events or catering industry;
- Outstanding interpersonal, organisational and natural sales skills are essential;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, writing in a well structured and logical manner; and
- Highly competent computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook etc).
