Temporary Full Time Maternity Leave Replacement
Swan Hill Rural City Council currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Events and Economic Development Officer. This position reports to the Economic Development Coordinator for the support of Economic Development projects and the coordination of public, community and private event management across the municipality.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, process-driven individual who has excellent interpersonal skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications complemented by hands on experience in supporting and educating community groups is required and experience in local government is desirable. Strong facilitation and communication skills combined with the ability to gain co-operation and assistance from key stakeholders, internal and external clients, is also essential.
The position also requires demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, be resilient and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. Competent computer skills with a high degree of accuracy is also required.
What we can offer you
Working Monday to Friday, this temporary full time position is until 30 June 2025 and attracts approximately $35.28 per hour. In addition superannuation is paid at 14%. The successful applicant may be required to work some evenings and occasionally on weekends.
