Swan Hill Rural City Councilcurrently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Events and EconomicDevelopment Officer. Thisposition reports to the Economic Development Coordinator for the support ofEconomic Development projects and the coordination of public, community andprivate event management across the municipality.
This is a great opportunity for aself-motivated, process-driven individual who has excellent interpersonalskills. Relevant tertiary qualificationscomplemented by hands on experience in supporting and educating communitygroups is required and experience in local government is desirable. Strong facilitation and communication skillscombined with the ability to gain co-operation and assistance from keystakeholders, internal and external clients, is also essential.
The position also requiresdemonstrated ability to work in a team environment, be resilient andself-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. Competent computer skills with a high degreeof accuracy is also required.
What we can offer youWorking Monday to Friday, thistemporary full time position is until 30 June 2025 and attracts approximately $35.28per hour. In addition superannuation ispaid at 14%. The successful applicantmay be required to work some evenings and occasionally on weekends.
