Due to a maternity cover, The Walt Disney Company has an exciting opportunity for an Events Executive to join our team for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract! The Events Executive will be tasked with developing end to end event solutions, crafting detailed briefs to external agencies resulting in the implementation of said events, as well as providing regular updates and information on events and activations to the broader business. The role will be responsible for reporting and presenting the marketing outcomes of all event activity to the broader team and ongoing management of event production, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for guests and internal stakeholders.

Your main areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
Manage high quality events and activations, end to end, under the direction of the event manager, inclusive of necessary paperwork, budgets and global security mandates.
Manage On-Site Operations including suppliers and internal staff on ground.
Lead event approval and asset processes in collaboration with the PR, Creative, Studio, Disney+ and legal teams
Manage, track and document Event activities to support the team with the development of future opportunities and effectively communicate results to internal stakeholders.
Identify and drive external opportunities, keeping across broader event and activation activity in Australia.
To be successful in this role, you will hold the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Circa 3 years’ experience in the events management industry – event agency experience would be advantageous
Previous event managements experience with knowledge of Australian event and marketing landscape – additionally, an understanding of the media and content landscape in Australia and New Zealand including cinema and digital platforms would be advantageous
Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking, with an ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Engaging presentation skills, with the ability to build creative decks
Budget management experience/knowledge, or willingness to learn
Experience in managing internal stakeholders and external event partners and suppliers with a collaborative mindset
Ability to work cross-company across various Business Areas, multi-task and handle tight deadlines under pressure – act as a strong team player who contributes to an environment that embraces constant change and innovation
