Qualifications & experience
- Demonstrated experience in generating new business sales leads and conversion
- Experience in managing client relationships or in customer management
- Experience in event operations or coordination
- Proven ability to work under pressure & demonstrated high levels of organisation
- Proven ability to develop relationships, both informal and formal, with internal and external stakeholders
- Developed time management skills with the ability to deal with conflicting deadlines
- Ability to truly understand client business problems with the confidence to articulate conference and event solutions in a simplified way
- Experience using IVVY and Opera operating systems highly regarded
- Availability to work a flexible roster including weekends and evenings as the business needs dictate
Tasks & responsibilities
- End to end action of all sales inquiries in order to deliver client expectations including coordination and on day client management
- Engage with proactive sales initiatives as directed by the C&E Sales Manager
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate event BEOs and reports.
- Host site inspections and client meetings and represent the hotel at client entertainment events and external expos
- Collaborate with F&B Operations, Kitchen and Front Office as the main hotel contact for the client in preparation for event arrival and execution
- Engage with a variety of clientele including both corporate and social
- Develop close relationships with hotel suppliers and other internal stakeholders
