We are looking for a switched-on individual with initiative, flair & personality, who has extensive experience in a busy events environment. You will have significant management experience in a busy multi faceted events environment – ideally with tertiary study to support your application. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, with the ability to manage your responsibilities autonomously. You will be held accountable for your performance – and you will relish the opportunity to prove you are the right person for the role.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a manager in a busy Events environment
- Proven success in overseeing large and VIP functions
- Significant Food and Beverage operational knowledge including Kitchen operations and FOH Operations and Bar Operations
- Detailed knowledge of Food and Beverage setups, including VIP table sets, large scale catering sets and bar operational requirements
- Passion for exceeding customers' expectations
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have strong staff management experience, with the ability to operate autonomously
- Exceptional grooming standards
- The ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
- Approved Managers (mandatory)
- The ability to live and work in Australia
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand event objectives, themes, and requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for events.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Build and lead a team of event operations staff, assigning roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Serve as the secondary point of contact for clients in the lead up and primary contact on the day of the event, providing regular updates on the progress of the event.
- Address client concerns and feedback promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote ideas on how to grow and improve the business based on client needs and gaps in our offer.
