Events Security Manager
About the role
We have a great opportunity for a strong, dynamic leader to join our team as an Events Security Manager based in Sydney. You will lead, manage and develop our people whilst working within our events division to exceed client expectations and develop the current workforce in the security industry. Being the lead on specific events from initial meetings to executing the event on show day. This role is open to the right candidate that is not currently working in the security industry.
You will be a successful and experienced Security Manager with a strong leadership, meeting targets to achieve the best possible outcomes, build relationships, impeccable time management skills. All days are very dynamic, we are looking for someone who doesn’t shy away from a challenge whilst also having strong people management skills.
- Proactively manage and maintain internal and client relationships to ensure targets and needs are achieved.
- Deliver operational excellence with an emphasis on customer service to ensure the operational needs are met.
- Work operationally with both clients and management team.
- Develop security management plans + building rosters to the specifications required.
- Effectively and efficiently handle client feedback and requests within agreed time frames.
- Support policy and procedural implementation and continuous improvement to systems and processes
- Promote security awareness, interacting with staff and key stakeholders.
- Front line response to operational issues.
Skills and experience
- Security License (NSW 1,2A)
- Full NSW Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate (current)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (current)
- Certificate IV Security Risk Management (or willing to achieve)
- Proven experience managing a team of 20+
- Thorough understanding of security compliance and regulations
- Works well independently, with strong coordination and leadership skills
- Proficient computer literacy using Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management abilities and multitasking skills.
- A solid focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite.
- An ability to manage client and employee relationships.
