About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Events Specialist to deliver all aspects of our marketing events, from end-to-end in-person events, including (but not limited to) webinars, online forums, to trade shows and high-profile speaking engagements.
You'll play a key role in crafting impactful events that forge strong business connections, fuel excitement for our company, assist in boosting sales and amplify brand awareness and consideration.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Partner with the Head of Marketing Services to flawlessly assist in executing our annual Australian event series, ensuring each program achieves its objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define clear objectives and desired outcomes for all event briefs.
- Dive deep into event planning by participating in meetings, preparing documentation (agendas, action items, reports), and managing the entire process from pre-event briefings to post-event debriefings.
- Become a master of event coordination and execution (both in-person and virtual) by overseeing logistics, administration, evaluation, and data analysis. You'll also track speaker/audience feedback and abstract acceptances.
- Unleash your creativity by co-authoring the vision for event collateral with design and marketing teams. This may include crafting promotional materials (mailers, digital assets), stage designs, presentations sponsorship proposals, and more.
- Manage itineraries and arrangements for our Subject Matter Experts.
- Support sponsor acquisition by assisting with agreements, managing contracts, and ensuring sponsors receive their promised benefits.
About You
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and driven Events Specialist.
Your ability to think ahead along with your proven ability to create an onsite client experience aligned with our market-leading brand will position you successfully in this new role. To excel in this role, you will need:
- Relevant events experience in delivering large - and small - scale corporate events in an innovative fast-moving environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in events management or other relevant field will be a plus.
- Organisational prowess: you're a master of detail, keeping everything running smoothly with a keen eye for precision.
- You want to become a Project Management Superhero: you will be able to juggle multiple events simultaneously and will consistently seek to deliver high-quality results, often under tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities for effective vendor management and collaboration with various suppliers, speakers, and entertainers.
- An understanding of the workflows supporting the set up of third party platforms or related systems (registrations, Slido)
- You are tech-savvy: you understand how third-party platforms (think registration systems) work and can leverage them for a smooth event experience. Plus, you're proficient in conference apps, event websites, webinar software, and MS Office for effortless administration.
- Working rights - You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
