About the role:
Based at the MinRes owned and Operated Wodgina Lithium site the Excavator specialist will ensure a level of compliance to all aspects of company policy/ procedures and work management practices; to provide leadership and direction to respective Asset Management teams to help achieve optimal fleet performance and safety across the Excavator Specialist and drill fleets. You will be working an 8:6 roster (day shift only) reporting directly to the site-based Maintenance Manager and working back to back with the drill specialist.
Main responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to) :
- Provide technical support to the likes of supervisors and fitters
- Liaising with site-based planners around scheduled and preventive maintenance in a bid to limit machine downtime
- Regular liaising with OEMs to ensure parts availability, rushing orders where required and in a bid to streamline the troubleshooting process – also in a bid to limit machine downtime
- Liaising with OEMs regarding any warranty claims or product performances issues
What you will bring to the role:
- 3 + years in a similar position
- Relevant trade qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong focus on continuous improvement
- Exceptional organisational skills and prior fleet management experience
- A strong commitment to safety & adhering to MinRes policies and procedures
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership where required
- Previous experience with Platform rigs i.e. Cat MD6250/Epiroc D65's and Liebherr Excavators from 9200-9600
