Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide support to NDIS participants with mental health, Physical, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities
- Assist with personal care, transportation and help with independent living skills
- Administer and document medication and follow health support plans
- Manage behaviour triggers and escalation
- Ensure your safety and the safety of the participants
- Adequate Documentation and Reporting
- Assisting participants to attend medical and therapy appointments
- Engaging with participants in conversation and fun activities
Essential Criteria
- NDIS worker Screening Check and Police Check
- First aid/CPR
- Full driver’s licence
- NDIS orientation and induction modules completion
- Willingness to learn and provide quality support
- Up to date Covid vaccinations
- Available to fulfil a rotating roster including weekends and nights
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in Disability or Aged Care Sector
- Cert III or higher in individual support/ aged care/ community services
