David Griffiths Lawyers are looking for a self-motivated, friendly and well-presented person to join our team. You will play a pivotal role performing general office administration and assisting conveyancers and lawyers within the practice.
You must be enthusiastic, willing to learn, have attention to detail and be able to work in a team environment. This role will based in Bega and Merimbula with the ability to travel to Eden when required.
Objectives of this role
- Provide administrative support to Solicitors and Conveyancers.
- Represent the organisation with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients and officials.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of organisational and client information.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents, such as letters when instructed.
- Printing and compiling documents.
- Archiving files.
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Create and maintain files.
- Perform Legal and background research when requested.
- Edit documents using Word and Adobe.
Skills and qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Well-presented, friendly, enthusiastic and be willing to learn and work in a team environment.
- Able to travel between our Bega and Merimbula offices and to our Eden office when required.
- Proactive, attentive and have initiative to be always able to assist.
- Experience in the legal industry and knowledge of online court filing systems, Smokeball and PEXA is preferred but not required.
- Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
