About us
The Portable Long Service Authority is an independent statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme.
The Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme began on 1 July 2019 to ensure eligible workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries can build up long service benefits based on time in their industry, rather than with a single employer.
About the role
The Executive Assistant will report directly to the CEO to provide high level administrative support, including diary management, preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations, along with office management duties. In this role you will support the CEO, the executive leadership team, governing board, and partner with business units to support day to day activities and operations across the Authority.
The successful incumbent will be joining a growing and inclusive organisation, based in the new Galkangu, Bendigo GovHub. We offer the flexibility of hybrid working, with up to two days working from home per week. About you
Our ideal candidate will be experienced in providing high level confidential administration services to senior management, be highly organised to meet deadlines, and have strong attention to detail in preparing reports, correspondence, and other documents. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to support the CEO and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
This role will suit an experienced Executive Assistant or personal assistant with a high level of initiative, who is able to prioritise complex workloads and self-manage time and resources effectively. Experience working in a statutory authority or in the public sector in a similar role will be highly regarded.
