Wirraminna Care is a Not-For-Profit community owned organisation that delivers aged care services to older Australians in the Barossa Region.
Wirraminna Care has a long-standing history in the community of Williamstown, where the history and future are built on local community members working together to create an award winning, intimate, and caring aged care service. Located only an hour north of Adelaide (64KMs) in a quiet regional township, Wirraminna Care offers a community atmosphere that feels like home, for both the residents and staff members.
These operations mainly include:
- An accredited 32 bed licensed Residential Aged Care Facility, operated under the Aged Care Act.
- 21 LTO retirement living houses onsite, operated under the Retirement Villages Act
- Own and manage the local op shop.
- Manage the lease of the local RSL hall.
- A registered provider of Home Care Packages under the Aged Care Act and Retirement Villages Act.
A rare opportunity has presented to appoint a suitably qualified and motivated professional to the role of Executive Business and Finance Manager.
As the new Executive Business and Finance Manager of Wirraminna Care, you will have the support of a strong clinical leadership team and well-established Board of Directors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide a high level of support, analysis, and reports to the Board.
- Provide quality advice on funding and fee for service issues, including matters of income recognition and reconciliations (acquittals and carry overs).
- Ensure the accuracy of the end of month reporting process, including the preparation of month end journals and reconciliations.
- Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations within required timeframes.
- Assist in meeting external regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of the organisation's annual operational and capital budgets in conjunction with the Clinical Manger.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity General Ledger and Payroll system.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports on the various activities of Wirraminna Care Inc including Residential Aged Care, License to Occupy and Rentals, Home Care and Fundraising.
- Completion of monthly and financial adjustments and accruals.
- Ensure that internal and external financial reporting requirements are met.
- Monitor recurrent expenditure activities, capital projects and Government Grants. including the analysis of costs, pricing, user charges and investment options.
- Monitor and report on liquidity levels of Wirraminna Care.
Ideally, we are seeking an inspirational manager with an entrepreneurial and business mindset. Outcome driven and focussed, you will need to demonstrate strategic and analytical attributes with a strong financial acumen. You will be required to deliver on agreed key focus areas, while actively working to build trust and respect within the organisation. Your sound communication skills and collaborative approach will see you establish and maintain outstanding working relationships with key stakeholders. You will require balanced judgement in prioritising tasks and future projects relevant to the needs of the organisation and aligned with the vision and objectives of the Strategic Directions Plan.
