Join Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) within our Client Solutions Group (CSG) as an Executive focused on the private markets area and particularly the Real Assets division to support senior leadership and help to develop new team members.
The Client Solutions Group (CSG) is responsible for the investor interface across product development, capital raising, investor relations and co-investment. The team covers the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors globally, including Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Endowments and Foundations.
As an Executive you will assist with the fundraising, investor relations and product development of all of Macquarie Asset Management’s private markets products. Your role will focus on the Real Asset’s equity platform in Asia Pacific, including covering funds focused on infrastructure and agriculture. You will also support relationship managers with client engagement and be able to develop client relationships over time.
You will work with product specialists and relationship managers to produce marketing, investor relations and due diligence materials for existing and potential investors. You will be required to take lead responsibility on producing all materials, ensuring they are on time and to the appropriate standard. You will oversee the development and assist with the management of the more junior members in the team. You will also be closely involved in developing equity strategies for co-investment transactions in Australia.
To be successful in the role you will be able to work independently and understand MAM funds and investments across all sectors to be able to engage with investors from an early stage in your role. You will also assist with the process of raising new capital for funds and fund establishment, including working with our legal, tax and other specialist teams. You will oversee the development and assist with the management of the more junior members in the team bringing the experience and willingness to mentor and train junior staff.
Your background will preferably include:
- 3 – 4 years of experience in the infrastructure equity sector, ideally through product development and capital raising, fund management, or transactions
- undergraduate degree with analytically focused studies
- understanding of corporate finance and financial accounting
- ability to work across a globally connected team
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent verbal and written communication
- strong interpersonal skills as well as being self-motivated, flexible, hardworking and strong intellectual curiosity
- experience in and willingness to mentor and train junior staff
