Our client is a not-for-profit aged care organisation offering aged care, in-home care, a community centre, and is a registered NDIS provider. For over 75 years, this organisation has evolved to respond to the growing needs of the community.
Your new role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager Clinical Governance (EMCG) position will be able to demonstrate experience leading teams whilst also effectively developing and maintaining contemporary Clinical Governance and compliance initiatives in accordance with the strategic direction and goals of the organisation.
The EMCG will articulate a vision for high-quality, compassionate, and safe care, and will be proactive in enabling this vision throughout its services. This will be achieved by developing and supporting a positive work environment, promoting a high level of workforce engagement and fostering a culture that requires and gives priority to safety, quality and supports continuous improvement.
About you
Suited to a highly motivated and strategic senior leader to ensure alignment with the organisation and its values. To enable this, you will:
- Develop and maintain Clinical Governance frameworks to ensure the provision of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Analyse data to identify trends and emerging risks.
- Lead the clinical and facility management teams to improve the process to monitor and evaluate clinical practices and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality of care.
- Provide leadership and support to clinical staff in maintaining professional standards, promoting continuous learning, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Continue to improve monitoring systems to manage clinical risk and understanding service metrics.
- Stay abreast of developments in aged care policy, research, and technology, and incorporate evidence-based practices into Clinical Governance strategies.
- Function as a key Clinical Governance strategic adviser at the board level.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure systems are designed with the consumer in mind so that the consumer, their families or carers are partners in care.
