Clinical Governance Project Manager

About the opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager within the College of Health and Medicine to support the development of a fit-for-purpose and holistic Clinical Governance framework. Reporting to the Director Operations and collaborating with all members of the College Leadership Team, the role is responsible for understanding the range of health service delivery activities undertaken across the College and using this to develop a systematic approach to maintaining and improving the quality and safety of these services.
What you’ll do:
- Use contemporary project management methodology to plan, initiate and manage a time limited project.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the scope and purpose of a Clinical Governance Framework.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current and planned scope of health service delivery activities across the College.
- Establish effective steering, consultation and stakeholder engagement mechanisms.
- Provide timely reports on project progress, issues and risks to the project sponsor.
What we’re looking for:
- Completion of a postgraduate qualification in a healthcare related field with extensive clinical, quality and safety, or healthcare management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects to meet project milestones.
- Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and experience in negotiating outcomes.
- High level experience and understanding of Clinical Governance.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, innovative, and agile in driving and delivering program objectives.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $151,543 comprising base salary within the range of $122,887 to $129,524 plus 17% superannuation.
