Form of workThe Shire of Quairading is seeking to appoint an Executive Manager of Economic Development to actively lead the Community and Strategic Projects division overseeing areas of cultural and Economic Development, communities, youth and inclusion, as well as provide support on significant projects.
As a member of the Executive Management Team, you will develop and implement Council’s strategies to foster sustainable Economic Development, attract business investment and promote industry and enterprise development.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in dealing with stakeholders such as community groups, business owners, developers, government agencies and utilities. A proven working knowledge of grant funding and acquittal mechanisms and ability to prepare clear and concise reports is an advantage.
Quairading is well serviced with health and medical facilities including a hospital, modern medical practice, a resident chemist and visiting allied health professionals. Schooling is provided through the Quairading District High School. Families are further supported by the childcare centre and the youth centre. The town and community offer a wide range of sporting, cultural and social activities.
