About the Position
We have an exciting new opportunity for the role of Manager Business and Economic Development.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a key position within the Organisation. We are looking for a candidate who will use initiative and creativity to develop and drive strategies to support Business and Economic growth within the Shire of Ashburton.
The vacancy has arisen due to a notable development – the incumbent has been offered and accepted a CEO role elsewhere in the state.
The position will provide the opportunity to build engagement and collaboration across diverse industries including mining, agriculture, and tourism and small business support.
Our ideal candidate will have the energy and the tenacity to tackle big issues and challenges and have exceptional advocacy, consultation, negotiation, and marketing skills. Demonstrated experience in a similar role developing and maintaining partnerships is essential. While Local Government experience is highly regarded, we value ideas and experience from all sectors.
