The Executive Manager, International Business and Student Programs, leads a team of specialist staff in International Business, and collaborates with education agents across the globe to initiate, develop, and implement responsive and adaptable commercial business opportunities for International Education Services, to achieve government targets and policy directions for international education in South Australian Government Schools (SAGS).
Working with designated countries the position predicts, initiates, and develops current and future international education business ventures, products, and innovative projects to ensure IES business development meets strict commonwealth and state legislation and policy compliance requirements including the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework.
The Executive Manager will initiate and develop international Student Programs and international mindedness activities across all government schools who host fee-paying international students. The position collaborates with school staff to support the Strategic Communication and Marketing team in IES to deliver our student wellbeing strategy and improve the overall international student educational experience in SAGS. This includes working with the tertiary and VET sector on student pathway development and promotion, the Duke of Edinburgh program, collaborating with third-party providers for welcome and induction events, holiday activities, and Student ambassador programs. Additionally, the position, coordinates tailored Study Abroad Programs, student celebrations and other agreed wellbeing initiatives.
The Executive Manager contributes to the Department for Education's International Commercial Activity policy and procedure and is a member of the Executive Leadership team in IES, which guides the administration and operations of the directorate.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Application of specialist education related skills and knowledge required for managing education programs. Extensive knowledge of the ESOS Act and the Education Act.
Desirable:
A tertiary qualification in International Business or equivalent relevant experience

Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
