Flinders Medical Centre are looking for a Director Board Secretariat and Officeof the Chief Executive to join the team!
About the role:
As the SALHN Director Board Secretariat and Officeof the Chief Executive, you will provide professional, informed Secretariat and governance support to the SALHN Governing Board, Board Committees and Executive Leadership Committee. In this role you will facilitate the governance of the Board by coordinating the exchange of information and decisions between the SALHN Governing Board Members, SAHLN Executive and Department for Health and Wellbeing. The activity is carried out most visibly through preparation of Governing Board and related briefings and the facilitation of meetings of the Governing Board and its Committees.
The Director Board Secretariat and Officeof the Chief Executive will prepare high level executive correspondence and strategic information on behalf of the Governing Board, such as reports, presentations, briefings and research papers.
In addition, the incumbent will oversee the operations and performance of the OCEO.
About you:
- Experience in providing high level executive officer support to committees, including development of agendas, committee paper preparation, minute taking and addressing follow up actions.
- Experience in managing sensitive, complex, and urgent material within strict time frames and in accordance with required outcomes.
- Experience in working collaboratively with executive and/or senior level management and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and influence others to work together as a team to achieve objectives and to anticipate change and influence others in responding to change.
- Demonstrated high level written and communication skills with the ability to use judgement, initiative and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
- Demonstrated sound understanding of Board Governance and be able to oversight the office of the Chief Executive.
