Do work those matters.This role reports directly into the GM of Paid and Owned media within Marketing and Corporate Affairs, within our Paid and Owned Centre of Excellence, who collectively define and execute paid owned and earned media and channel plans.The Chapter Area Lead – Media Planning role will lead the current social media team consisting of 4 social media experts, manage our external media agency and develop and build out of vision for a Media Planning team inside a high functioning hybrid team of our paid media chapter, owned media chapter and agency partners.You will have responsibility for:Defining and guiding the media strategy and channel investment strategy across all channelsDefining and monitoring our channel principlesDeveloping, guiding and advising on media plans for all marketing programsOptimising media value for the groupManaging external media vendor and agency relationshipsYour key responsibilitiesStrategic development of the groups media strategy and investment to deliver on the groups business objectives.Development of our channel strategy principles and ensuring that the group adheres to the principles.Responsible for the Group’s media agency relationship; ensuring quality outputs and channel planning and innovation that drive value across the CBA Marketing teamManage key publisher relationships with agency partners to ensure strong partnerships and access to first to market opportunities or ways to leverage our data for better campaign delivery.Responsible for tracking and optimising media investment levels across channelsResponsible for media capability uplift in media across MarketingIdentify productivity opportunities across the internal media team and external media team to drive efficiency.Responsible and accountable for the Operational Risk that could occur with our media agency with campaign execution.Development of end-to-end process view of campaign execution and the delivery of controls to mitigate RiskAnalyse new media products and capabilities as they are released into the market and contribute to the design of an innovative and future focused media technology strategy.Your experience and qualifications:Minimum of 10 years’ experience within Marketing/ Media or digitalExperience of 5 years + managing and leading high performing teamsDeep understanding of the media landscapeAbility to effectively manage & influence stakeholders and external partners.Evidence of strong project management skills including time management and demonstrate ability to influence and negotiate with senior colleagues to achieve the positive outcomes.Ability to use strategic planning and thinking to build and deliver advertising and marketing plans aligned to key target metrics.Have the presence and confidence to present recommendations and facilitate meeting with senior managers and be capable of influencing outcomes.Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal and presentation skills.Proactive, positive attitude, self-starter who takes ownership to drive toward an optimal outcome – able to think outside the box and deliver pragmatic and creative business solutions.Strong vendor management and negotiation skillsUnderstanding of media analytics that drive business results.Highly numerate with a quantitative mindsetExcellent accuracy and attention to detailStrong project managementIf this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!Working at CommBankAt CommBank, we support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half their time each month connecting in office.
