Job description:

The Role

This position is responsible for the business planning process, Market Risk management, and providing specialist support to investment decisions across the business. The role will also oversee Treasury function, including debt management, and equity funding. In leading the Investment activities, the role will manage the Group's Capital Investment Framework (CIF) to optimize investment decisions across development, construction, and capital expenditure platforms.

This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, with a hybrid work option available.

Profile description:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Commerce/Economics/Accounting/Business degree qualified, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification
  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in finance management with a focus on strategy, business planning, and risk management
  • Experience in managing funding activities within banks or corporate environments
  • Strong understanding of competitive energy markets and their fundamental drivers
  • Proven experience in leading project finance transactions in the energy and/or infrastructure sectors
  • An understanding of energy markets
  • Experience in debt raising, derivative products, and treasury management
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple assignments of varying priority and difficulty on time
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Sound commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to comprehend complex issues and drive change
  • Excellent team facilitation and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured environment
