About the team
The Office of the DVC (Education) comprises a small professional team that provides executive support to the DVCE in leading and managing a diverse portfolio to achieve key deliverables and strategic objectives.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will work closely with members of the Education Executive and the broader University community and will be responsible for providing advice on a range of issues, including those that may be sensitive and confidential. You will also support the University’s committees within the Education portfolio and play an important role in facilitating the coordination of University governance committee papers.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate a relevant tertiary qualification and extensive senior administrative experience at an appropriate level. Your planning and organisation skills should be excellent, allowing you to set priorities, meet deadlines, and plan for the long term. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, should be highly developed, enabling you to find solutions to complex issues and engage with stakeholders effectively. You must be adept at working collaboratively as part of a team and managing stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, you should excel in conducting high-level research, writing reports and briefing notes, and creating presentations. Independence, initiative, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work productively with diverse stakeholders are also crucial traits.
