Mars Recruitment is working with a prominent financial services' organisation, in search of a 18-month contractor to join the team. As the Executive Operational Resilience Manager, you'll spearhead the second line Business Resilience function, instilling Operational Resilience as a cornerstone of business operations. Additionally, you'll provide vital assistance to the Crisis Management Team, guiding the response to critical operational risks and ensuring readiness for any crisis scenario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a culture that champions Operational Resilience and business continuity organisation-wide.
- Evaluate and enhance the business continuity approach to align with regulatory mandates, particularly CPS 230 Operational Risk Management.
- Lead the response to CPS 230 Operational Risk Management, with a focus on Operational Resilience, business continuity, and critical operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity, Recovery & Resilience Policy, Framework, and Standard.
- Supervise the implementation of business continuity management tools and offer expert guidance to support business functions.
- Act as the Crisis Management Team Secretariat, ensuring preparedness and effectiveness in crisis scenarios, with round-the-clock availability for activation.
- Offer strategic counsel to senior management on policy interpretation, implementation, and emerging trends.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Chief Risk Officer Enterprise Risk team through collaborative leadership and alignment with team objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, risk, or finance.
- Hold at least 10-15years of relevant risk management experience, with a focus on business continuity.
- Recent involvement with CPS 230 Operational Risk Management is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
- Ideally, have experience within the financial services industry.
- Thorough understanding of Operational Resilience principles and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in crisis management, business continuity planning, and relevant tools/software.
- Ability to maintain composure and efficacy under pressure, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
