The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide high level secretarial services to the Executive Director/Chief Risk Officer, (and other senior officers in the Executive Unit) including word processing, diary management, organising meetings, preparing itineraries, travel arrangements and hospitality requirements.
• Project a professional image at all times and display high levels of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
• Manage ministerial correspondence and Honours & Awards medal presentations.
• Receive and screen telephone calls and visitors referring to alternative areas where necessary.
• Compose and edit correspondence for executive signature.
• Record and prepare minutes and agendas for meetings.
• Liaise on behalf of the Executive Director/Chief Risk Officer with a range of people both internal and external to the Queensland Police Service.
• Implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure the effective management of work flows within the executive support unit and client services.
