As Executive Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the culinary operations of our establishment. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of kitchen management, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. Your leadership skills, coupled with your passion for European cuisine, will drive our team to excellence. The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and execute innovative menus inspired by European culinary traditions.
  2. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure consistent execution of recipes and techniques.
  3. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality and presentation standards.
  4. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients.
  5. Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  6. Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among kitchen staff.
  8. Act as a role model, exemplifying professionalism, integrity, and dedication to excellence in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as an Executive sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant.
  2. Extensive knowledge and proficiency in European cooking techniques and cuisine.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  5. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
  6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  8. Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
