Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the quality of all meals and food items from the preparation to the presentation stages.
- Ability to demonstrate proper techniques and provide guidance to others with preparing, cooking, freezing and preserving foods.
- Maintaining open lines of communication with Management, kitchen and wait staff for all food preparation, dietary, and specific requests.
- Leading the kitchen team to ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to and maintained.
- Preparing and cooking food
- Assisting the Executive Chef with all rostering and leave requirements for the team.
Knowledge required:
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Reliable, Presentable, and Punctual
- Capability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen
- A passion for food and the ability to deliver outstanding dishes
- Proven experience in a fast-paced Kitchen environment
Qualification and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Relevant Diploma or relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience in leading a kitchen team.
