The Role:
Due to the nature of the business’ requirements, this role is on a 5-day roster (over 7-day trade) with 2 consecutive days off.
As the Executive Sous Chef, you will work closely with the leadership team in enhancing and executing the food offering for multiple audiences which includes a modern restaurant, a wine bar and private wedding and corporate events. You will have a group of chefs to manage and develop.
More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities:
- Coordinating kitchen staff, organising workflow, and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently.
- Collaborating with the Group Executive Chef to create and develop seasonal menus.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Collaborating with the Group Executive Chef in managing kitchen supplies, including ordering ingredients and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensuring the kitchen complies with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with front-of-house staff and management, to ensure smooth communication and efficient overall operation of the establishments.
- Addressing issues and challenges that may occur in the kitchen, such as equipment malfunctions, staff conflicts, or customer complaints.
- Enhance and execute innovative and relatable food offering to align with the company vision and goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.

- Experience in modern Australian dining.
