National Judicial College of AustraliaThe National Judicial College of Australia (NJCA) is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 2002 to design, develop and deliver judicial education and training programs for Australian judicial officers across all court hierarchies and jurisdictions.
The OpportunityThis is a permanent full-time opportunity to join an expanding not-for-profit organisation where you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of your role, developing and implementing program events while having the opportunity to travel across Australia, with all expenses paid.
With over 29 skills-based programs, you will support the NJCA deliver training programs, and events while directly liaising with high-level stakeholders who influence major change across Australia’s justice system.

- Support events coordination and logistics, as well as be involved in communications for NJCA
Working in a small team of 4, based at the Australian National University College of Law, your role is to drive operations and administrative functions forNJCA, delivering educational programs and support to the Australian judiciary. Duties include:
- Manage participant registration for all education programs, conferences and events
- All office documentation, mailing lists, records and databases are kept up-to-date – own data integrity
- Administrative support for all NJCA education programs including assisting Program and Events Managers and Senior Researcher as required
- Overseeing administration of meeting requirements for NJCA Council and Program Advisory Committee members, including some secretariat support
- Maintaining all NJCA finances and financial records , compliance filings (ACNC, ASIC)
- Liaising with the NJCA external book-keeper, accountant and auditors as required
- Liaising with the CEO to ensure detailed financial and activity reports are prepared as required for Council, Council of Chief Justices and Commonwealth and State/Territory stakeholders
We are seeking a highly capable, self-motivated, and autonomous office or operations manager. Working within a small team of 4, it’s imperative you are a self-starter and happy to roll up your sleeves to take on any task to achieve team objectives.
The candidate we’re seeking has financial nous, is an effective and professional communicator, and capable of confidently engaging with the top echelon of professionals within Australia’s legal profession.
Demonstrated experience in executive and EA support within the legal sector will be highly regarded but is not essential. We encourage candidates with EA, office management and coordination experience within the professional services industry to apply.
Salary / RateA competitive salary of $90k – $110k + super will be offered to the successful candidate. NJCA are an outcome focussed business and offer flexible and WFH arrangements.
