Your Role: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Exercise-Based Mental Health Worker (Contractor) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in social work with a strong background in fitness, leveraging physical exercise as a powerful tool for Mental Health improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized exercise programs tailored to individual Mental Health needs.
- Conduct one-on-one and group sessions, integrating fitness routines with therapeutic support.
- Collaborate with Mental Health professionals to create comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting programs as needed.
- Educate clients on the benefits of physical activity for mental well-being.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment, encouraging clients to achieve their health goals.
- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in both Mental Health and fitness fields.
About You:
- Strong understanding of the connection between physical activity and Mental Health.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent (e.g. Psychology Counselling or Psychotherapy ).
- A recognized fitness qualification (e.g., Certified Personal Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, Strength and Conditioning).
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
