Exercise Physiologist - Full Time

Hoys Allied Health, established in 2006, is a successful family-owned provider of allied health services to the Coffs Harbour community across five convenient locations. We have over 35 practitioners delivering Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Remedial Massage, and Occupational Therapy Services. 

Our Exercise Physiology team works with a diverse range of patient conditions, in individual and group settings in a purpose-built rehab gym.

The Role

• We are seeking to fill two positions: A full-time or part-time Accredited Exercise Physiologist, and a 12-month maternity leave contract (2-3 days per week). 
• Tailor Exercise Physiology services for private, chronic disease management, NDIS & workers' compensation clients.
• Assess movement/function, exercise prescription, instruction, supervision, health education, and exercise-based lifestyle and behaviour modification services.
• Conduct functional capacity evaluations and pre-employment assessments.
• Assisting to progress injured workers' return to work claims through attending medical case conferences, liaising with key stakeholders & report writing.
• Varied settings - local centres, home visits and local pools.

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
• Accredited Exercise Physiologist – ESSA Registration
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Professional Indemnity and public liability insurance cover.
• Working with children check 
• National Police Check (in the last 12 months)

Competencies

• Knowledge of best practice in private Exercise Physiologist patient service delivery.
• Good written and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with managers, clinical and administration staff, service providers, and patients.
• Commitment to continuing education.
