Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Senior Exercise Physiologist (EP) to join our brand-new Wellness Practice, located in the heart of Kingswood, adjacent to the Nepean Health Hub.
As part of our commitment to supporting individuals on their health and wellbeing journey, we are expanding our services (not limited to) DVA, Private health and NDIS to ensure accessible, high-quality exercise physiology for the community.
The successful candidate will play a valuable role in:
- Exercise prescription and program monitoring,
- Preventive Health Management,
- Workplace Health and Safety Assessment, Ergonomic assessment, and manual handling programs,
- Functional assessment of injuries, disabilities, and chronic diseases,
- Exercise prescription and program monitoring,
- Liaison with medical practitioners, health professionals, insurers and other industry stakeholders.
- Sports Performance Enhancement,
- Pilates and personal training (desirable)
This role would suit a motivated Senior Exercise Physiologist looking to grow and develop their skills and career, someone who likes working in an environment that has variety and supportive team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, or equivalent qualification.
- Post-graduate degree in Exercise Rehabilitation Science (or equivalent)
- Exercise Physiology Accreditation (ESSA)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Exercise Physiologist.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Current driver’s license and personal vehicle for transport
- Valid working with children and Police check
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year clinical and NDIS experience
- Experience in musculoskeletal injury assessment
- Experience in specialised exercise prescription for injured patients
- Experience in NDIS, DVA, workers compensation and injury management
- Pilates instruction - desirable
