PRE-EMPLOYMENT HEALTH SCREENING OFFICER

WELSHPOOL - WEST PERTH - ROCKINGHAM

Spartan First is a leading national Occupational Health care provider. We provide a range of services to our clients, across a wide variety of industries, including mining and resources, construction, transport, logistics and local government. 

THE ROLE

Due to an expansion of our services, we are seeking to employ a full-time Exercise Scientist/Exercise Physiologist/Pre-employment Health Screening Officer to join our friendly clinic teams at Welshpool, West Perth and Rockingham. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

The duties and responsibilities of the role include: 

• Occupational Health Technician scope of work
• Pre-employment medical assessments
• Functional assessments
• Drug and alcohol screening
• Audiometry
• Spirometry
• From time to time there will also be other occupational and health projects undertaken such as health and wellness projects and injury prevention activities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) or equivalent
• Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification required to become an Exercise Physiologist
• Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
• Senior First Aid or equivalent
• Police Clearance

Desirable:

• HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse testing
• Audiometry Certificate
• Spirometry Certificate
• Experience in the Occupational Health sector 
• Experience conducting basic medical assessments and physical testing
