- You will have full control and strategic oversight of the Townsville Experience Centre, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy, authority, and professional acumen.
- You will direct, coordinate, and develop a team of professionals. Leading by example and ensuring all staff are fully trained and capable of providing comprehensive information about the CopperString project and addressing customer or visitor enquiries.
- Promote a culture of excellence in customer service, where staff are encouraged to go above and beyond to enhance the visitor experience.
- Ensure the delivery of top-tier reception services and facility management.
- Develop and manage the budget associated with the Experience Centre, events, and education programs, ensuring efficient use of funds.
- Recognise and manage the unique risks and safety matters associated with a high profile Experience Centre.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Design and implement comprehensive stakeholder analysis focussed on identifying learning and educational needs for all types of potential learning audiences and Experience Centre customers.
- Pro-actively manage all stakeholder expectations and design / align education events and community engagement with school and tertiary education curriculums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, businesses, and Townsville's Traditional Owners, the Wulgurukaba people.
- Develop systems, processes, and tools to support the collection of feedback or comments from visitors.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, events and educational programs.
- Degree level qualification in Communications, Education or Training, Business, Marketing, Event Management or a lesser qualification coupled with significant relevant experience.
- Must hold, or must successfully complete the required qualification and licences within 3 months of commencing in the role: First Aid certificate and Blue Card
- Qualifications in Vocational Education and Training.
- Proven experience working with high profile and significant projects, ideally in running a similar experience or customer service centre.
- People Management experience, the ability to lead people and make them part of the delivery experience
- The demonstrated ability to engage successfully with various stakeholders, both upstream and downstream, creating a unique and strong stakeholder experience
- A strong people and customer focus, facilitating positive experiences for peopleNeed to have enthusiasm. Be interested in subject matter. But also sensible and charismatic balanced individual.
- Design, develop, deliver and schedule training, events and presentations that can engage and educate diverse audiences
- Proven expertise in high-level written, interpersonal, and oral communication, including the ability to liaise, negotiate, and consult with senior management and a diverse range of stakeholders on strategic issues
- The ability to identify identify improvements and plan for the future.
- Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week.
