Experienced Aircraft Painter/Surface Finisher

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Coffs Harbour team as an Aircraft Painter/ Surface Finisher. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working a 38hr week over 4 days Monday to Thursday.
Duties include:

• Undertake paint removal, surface preparation including corrosion removal, masking and sealing, and apply paint and coatings to aircraft surfaces.
• Application of markings, graphics and decals in accordance with customer paint schemes.
• Record work performed in Work Packs for assigned projects.
• Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations, aircraft OEM requirements, product manufacturer specifications and Company policy and procedure.
• Ensure the paint shop is maintained in good order including equipment serviceability and ordering of stock.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements as it pertains to activities undertaken and products used.

Applicants should possess the following:

• Successful completion of a trade apprenticeship, with hands on experience in a Spray Painter role - Automotive or Aviation industry exposure is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• High attention to detail with a creative flair for those more intricate schemes.
• Be reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to work with a focus on delivering high quality results.
• Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritise work tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Meet the requirements of the Company pre-employment drug and alcohol policy.
• Provide a current National Police Check.
