Douglas Aerospace is an aircraft paint refurbishment provider servicing local, domestic, and international customers, based in Wagga Wagga NSW. The successful applicant must be able to work and contribute to a highly motivated team and be flexible in the ability to work different shift patterns. A salary between the range of $65,000 to $90,000 will be offered, dependent on skills and experience. Qualifications & experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in vehicle painting, aircraft painting preferred
- Appropriate trade qualification in vehicle painting or aircraft or similar.
- Able to work under the highest level of quality control
- Have or able to apply for ASIC card
- Driver’s licence
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated
- Committed to quality and attention to detail
- Great team player and positive attitude
- Able to work under minimal supervision

Tasks & responsibilities
- Paint stripping preparation and painting of metallic and composite aircraft surfaces
- Application of corrosion prevention processes and materials
- Preparation and use of aircraft support equipment
- Identification and ordering of paint equipment and materials
- Maintenance of spray-painting equipment
- Amendment and maintenance of technical publications
- Stencilling and application of tapes and decals
- Apply aircraft livery and schemes
