Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Board Minute-Taker to join them on a casual contract basis for a unique opportunity in East Arnhem Land.Casual contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending and accurately recording the minutes of a Board meeting, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and understanding, as well as providing secretarial and administrative support to the Board.
Responsibilities
- Attend a Board meeting in Arnhem Land and accurately record minutes.
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Board and Executive Management as required.
- Work closely with Aboriginal community members, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect.
- Compile and finalise meeting minutes, notes, and action items in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Complete any additional administrative tasks related to the meeting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in minute-taking for Board meetings.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure.
- Experience in working with Aboriginal communities and understanding of cultural protocols and sensitivities.
- Passion for remote travel and willingness to work and stay in basic camp accommodation in Arnhem Land.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
