Experienced Carpenter NEEDED URGENTLY

Kelko Construction Pty Ltd is urgently seeking a carpenter.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Annual Salary: $70,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

 Position Description

• Forming and instructing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Cutting woot joints, shaping and fitting timber parts to form structures and fittings
• Constructing concrete formwork
• Fixing existing fittings
• Studying sketches and designs to determine requirements, dimension and installation procedures
• Purchasing and selecting materials necessary, and preparing layouts
• Working with laminates, Perspex, plastic and metals
• Putting the prepared wood altogether to form structures and fittings ready to be installed
• Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
• Nailing fascial panels, roofs, exterior wall, door and window frames
• Erecting framework and roof framing, verifying to trueness of structures

Experience 

• 2 years full time experience in the field is preferred
• Holds AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV

 Skills required:

• Must possess excellent communication, management and leadership skills, and interpersonal skills.
