Position: Full Time/Part Time Dispensary Technician's & Pharmacy Assistants
Job Tasks and Responsibilities of a Dispensary Technician:
- Support the dispensing Pharmacist through the performance of clerical duties in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in accurate dispensing of medication
- Maintain patient records in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide continuous support and assistance to the schedule counter and other areas
- Assist in the Preparation of Dose Administration Aid packs for community patients, aged care and nursing homes
- Assist in the ordering and unpacking of stock
Job Tasks and Responsibilities of a Pharmacy Assistant:
Greet or acknowledge every customer who enters the store
- Care for customers by recommending appropriate products that will meet their need
- Ensure customers are informed of the features and benefits of products, detailing instructions on how to use the product
- Support and encourage companion selling to benefit the customer's needs.
- Accept prescriptions from customers and ensure the correct patient's details are recorded
- Provide continuous assistance and support to all customer service areas within the store
- Ensure that displays and shelves are clean and tidy and all stock is pulled forward and rotated
- Assist in replenishing stock, checking out of dates, rotating stock, and general housekeeping
- Provide continuous support and assistance to the schedule counter and other areas, to provide care that is of an exceptional standard.
- Ability to work between the front of shop and dispensary
Skills and Experience
- S2/S3 Certificate
- Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy highly regarded.
- Experience essential
- Great work ethic with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Eager to learn
