About the role: As a chef, your responsibilities will be:- Plan menus and revise menu offerings on a regular basis, taking into account feedback from Restaurant Manager.
- Purchasing and selecting produce as well as managing relationships with suppliers.
- Keep abreast of new cooking techniques and adopt these to ensure continuous improvement in the meal preparation process.
- Prepare meals in line with agreed recipes.
- Train staffs as necessary utilising both on the job training techniques and when required send staffs on approved external relevant training.
- Ensure all OHS requirements are complied with by all staffs in the kitchen.Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a chef.
- Minimum Certificate IV in a relevant held.
- Be able to work in the fast-paced environment, and under pressure.
- Has service mind, and detail-oriented.
