Export Operator

The Export Operator ensures smooth shipment processes by proactively communicating with stakeholders, handling shipments effectively, and accurately managing documentation and invoices. You will verify costs, approve invoices, and address issues promptly while identifying opportunities for added value and maximising margins. Building strong customer relationships, responding to inquiries promptly. • Provide proactive communication throughout the shipment process and build rapport with Customers, Partners, and Suppliers.
• Ensure smooth handling of all shipments, catering to client's needs efficiently and accurately issuing documentation and invoices.
• Verify all costs paid to the shipping line/freight forwarders.
• Approve all creditor invoices accurately and timely and follow up efficiently on any problems that arise, keeping accurate records.
• Identify opportunities for value-added services and maximise margins throughout the shipment cycle.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
• Identify and escalate commercial risks, update assigned tasks promptly and accurately, and ensure data quality.
• Complete export documentation accurately and contribute innovative solutions and service options, providing cover for operational colleagues when necessary.

ProfileTo be considered for this role you will have/ be:

• Must have experience with either Chemical or Food & Beverage exports.
• Cargowise experience is essential.
• Experience in dealing with customers and service providers.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
