We are currently seeking anImport/Export Operator to join our team in Sydney.
Key responsibilities
The Import/Export Operator will be responsible to ensure the following:
- Check & Process Import Documentation
- Monitor cargo availability and status
- Arrange Pre-Alerts, arrival notices and outturn reports to clients
- Organise & lodge under bond movements
- Clear ocean bills / Pay shipping/landed charges electronically.
- Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDO's.
- Finalise invoices to clients and overseas agents & COD collection where required
- Third party billings
- FCL, LCL & AIR Cartage Co-ordination.
- Organise local & interstate road & rail movements.
- Maintain shipment status details.
- Ensure all bookings received are managed in line with department KPI’s.
- Ensure forwarding instructions & country document cut offs (eg USA) are sent to the shipping line and overseas in line with department KPI’s.
- Ensure all shipments are invoiced on time and in line with department KPI’s.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 2 years Freight Forwarding experience.
- Experience with EDI-Cargo Wise software preferred.
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Understanding of warehouse, wharf, shipping and airline procedures and processes.
