Well-established and fast growing International Freight Forwarder seeking s Senior Export Operator to join either Melbourne - Tullamarine office, Sydney - Alexandria, or Brisbane office - Murarrie, due to business growth.
Handling export FCL, LCL operations + Customer Service work towards becoming a Team Leader / 2IC to the Export Manager.
About the role:
- Handling export shipments from quoting/ booking stage through the documentation process, invoicing and file reconciliation for all kinds of export cargo.
- Arranging FCL & LCL transport jobs.
- Providing a high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service.
- Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any operations related issues.
- Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors.
- Supporting sales team with proposals, quotes and rates sheets to clients.
- Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment
- Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.
- Ensuring adherence & continued compliance to both internal standards and external legislative requirements across all trading markets.
- Spearheading initiatives for ongoing improvement to streamline operations, cut costs, and enhance operational efficiencies.
About you:
- You have relevant Australian export experience (minimum 2 years)
- Clear and effective communicator with all internal/external stakeholders across all mediums of exchange
- Exceeding service expectations with a client base made up of both wholesale and retail clients.
- Account Management and client/supplier facing experience.
- You enjoy working with a high energy team that wants to make a difference.
- You enjoy interacting with clients, solutions focused and ability to develop rapport ( and ask for more)
- You have experience in handling & processing Dangerous goods/Hazardous export shipments- DG qualified
- CARGOWISE experience. THIS IS A MUST!
- Proficient computer skills including the use of MS Office 365.
- Experience in handling & processing dangerous goods/Hazardous export shipments- DG qualified inc DG Hub and Ships lodgement experience.
