AddressCollarts is seeking Expression of Interest for Casual Lecturers to help facilitate our degrees, diplomas, and new postgraduate qualifications. Set across four incredible campuses in Fitzroy and Collingwood (as well as online), Collarts (Australian College of the Arts) is a dynamic creative space full of energy, passion and opportunity. Combining a staff of industry leaders, an incredible community of students, a warehouse style campus, 100-seat auditorium, post-production rooms, photographic studios, fully equipped Mac Pro Labs and dedicated fashion studio production spaces, we strive to support those who want to succeed in the design, performing arts and creative industries.
As a Casual Lecturer you will develop learning resources and assess students against a range of learning outcomes. Using your industry knowledge and previous academic experience as a learner and teacher, you will provide constructive feedback to students, inspiring them to become the best professionals they can be.
We are currently seeking expressions of Interest for the following areas of study:
- Event Management
- 3D Animation (ability to teach Maya)
- Visual Effects (ability to teach Houdini)
- Post Production (colour grading)
- Game Environment Art
- Game Design (ability to teach Godot)
- Character Design (ability to teach Blender)

Your background
To be successful in this role you must:
- hold an AQF8 qualification (e.g. Grad Cert, Honours) in a relevant field for undergraduate courses, or an AQF9 qualification (e.g. Masters) for postgraduate courses
- have a minimum of 5 years recent experience in a related industry
- showcase outstanding skill, expertise and success in your creative field, substantiated through positive reputation, public profile and/or industry review
- have teaching experience in Higher Education settings with the ability to guide and inspire all levels of student to achieve positive academic goals (highly desirable)
- possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
- possess demonstrable experience in blended and/or online teaching
You will be responsible for:
- Preparation and delivery of learning and assessment materials in a blended and/or online environment
- Providing innovative learning environments for students to meet learning outcomes and satisfactorily complete assessment tasks
- Student retention and progression, course review initiatives, moderation and course development as necessary
- Providing on-going student support
